Seasons:

This is a challenging season right now but God will bring us through it!

I am looking forward to getting back to travelling. The photo above was taken on our holiday to salou.

We have visited here for the last 3 years (before lockdown hit) at around Easter time. We usually take one of our 2 young people’s friends with us. We also have a Nephew who lives in Barcelona who we meet up with.

We love visiting the beaches in Salou. We don’t usually hire a car. We walk everywhere, apart from the one day when we get a coach to Tarragona to visit the shops and the beach or occasionally when we hire bikes.

One of the main things we love about visiting here is visiting Port Aventura and Ferrari World.

These theme parks are awesome for all ages and there is something for everyone. From the extreme thrill seekers  to those that prefer the smaller rides.

All ages are well catered for. The theming at both parks is awesome.

Joel and I’s favourite ride at Portaventura is Stampeda and my daughter and my husband love Shambala.

Our favourites at Ferrari world are Flying Dreams, Red Force and the drop towers.

We usually book  full board accomodation, staying at The Belvedere Hotel. The food here is really good with something for everyone including my son who is vegetarian. The staff there have always been really friendly.

One of the other things we really enjoy is watching the fountain show:

But most importantly we love spending time together as a family and with friends. Laughing together and Just enjoying life!

I love it that we have a God who enjoys spending time with us and walking with us, as we live out the lives he had planned for us.

He wants us have times of Joy and fun in life, aswell as being with us in hard times.

So why am I saying this?

Well currently we are in a season where everything we know has been thrown up in the air.

But I find it helps us to think of  memories of good times we’ve had and to look forward to future good times, we will have again!

It is great to know that God is with us in the hard times and the good . To reflect on the fact that God was with us in the past, He is with us today and He will be with us tomorrow.

He brings beauty out of ashes and good things out of difficult times.

There is always hope in Him. He doesn’t change. He is faithful always.

Don’t give up. He knew that this Pandemic was going to happen and he still told you he had plans for you and those plans will come to pass in His time and His way.

If God gave you visions or dreams or words about plans he has  for you and your future and you currently feel they have been put on hold;

I encourage you to keep believing because he will finish what he has begun in your life.

I had a vision for running a bus project 20 years before it came to be but it happened. Don’t give up!

(Seek confirmation in that it lines up with scripture and from other sources and ask other leaders you trust to pray and confirm the word/ vision and then trust Him).

Keep focused on the future and  believing for the next season.

There are some times in life, when we wish that time would stand still and that a moment would last forever but it inevitably doesn’t and  we carry on with life. Time keeps moving forward.

There is a season for everything under heaven. This current season is just that: another season.

However there is purpose in this season, like there is purpose in holidays and other seasons in life.

The purpose in holidays is to give us rest, to maybe enjoy family time together or time with friends.

It’s a chance to recharge and do things we enjoy and have a break before returning to the busyness of life.

The current season:

I think part of the purpose of this season is to slow down and focus on what’s really important. To fix our eyes back on God and to rely on Him and trust him and seek him. Its to appreciate the life God has given us and be grateful.

It reminds us that we never know what we are going to face when we wake up each day.

We have to trust God!

I believe a new season is coming!

How do you guys like to spend your time outside of lockdown?

What are you most looking forward too when we get out of lockdown?

Let’s encourage eachother to share stories of good things and good times where we have known God with us and let’s share the good and the bad times in life together.

We are the church we are one family. Let’s love eachother and build eachother up.

Thankful For Small Blessings

Grateful for a fresh cup of luxury hot chocolate (has to be made with hot milk!) and a freshly baked choc o pain to start the morning today. Along with a local walk in our beautiful surroundings.

A chance to still my mind before the chaos of the day insues.

My day today consists of helping my daughter with her maths work (rearranging formulas!! Fun!!) . Helping my son with English exam prep and assisting my husband with creating video content for his music composition business. Tidying the house and clothes washing.

This will then be followed by business accounts and preparing for a youth leaders meeting later this week.

Finally my day will end with a food shop and then a chance to chill Infront of the TV.

What do your days consist of at the moment? Let me know in the comments. 🙂

I love to hear peoples stories. It’s good to share life together! 🙂

In these times I am learning to be thankful for the small blessings in life.

Like waking up covid free, managing to get out in the fresh air and enjoying the peace of my surroundings even if only local and for a limited time.

Paul talks in the bible about learning to be content in all circumstances:

This verse always presents a challenge to me.

I have the whole being content thing down, on a good day . When everything is going right and I’m surrounded by friends and family .

Like the time we went to Europa Park in Germany. We were going on rollercoasters, looking at row upon row of Christmas lights and walking round the German Christmas markets. Eating chocolate marshmellows on sticks. Followed by ice skating under the stars and drinking mulled wine at the bar. That was a great day!

Feeling content in this situation is easy for me.

However on days where things are hard, like when you receive an unexpected bill or a pandemic hits and you wonder how it will effect your life and your income. Your mind starts to wonder (or atleast mine does) towards if only I had more money or if only I had …..

I don’t do that as much as I used to now because over the years I have been learning to trust God more and more.

I have seen that he has bought us through situations before and he will do so again.

I now know that he will provide for all our needs. I have seen him do this countless times, both in our lives and the lives of those around us.

All of this leads me to live in the moment more. To worry less and to feel more content and satisfied in life regardless of what’s going on around me.

I don’t think I have fully cracked this yet but I am alot further along the road towards this than I used to be.

How do you feel about this verse?

Whatever you are doing today. I hope you have a good and blessed day. 🙂
